NBNL is run by a single person who writes, publishes and builds the platform at the same time. Roles that larger companies keep apart therefore coincide here. This page names the commercial relationships that arise from that and from our editorial work — permanently and in one place, instead of scattered across individual articles.
Tobias Kurig is the author of the NBNL books and at the same time their publisher and rights holder, proprietor of the NBNL trade mark (DPMA 3020211078195) and operator of this platform.
This is the conflict of interest that affects every reader: Part III of the books presents NBNL.net and therefore describes our own product. It is not an independent market review and not a comparison with other providers.
For editorial reports we ask manufacturers for loan motorcycles on the usual press terms: free use for a few days, returned afterwards. For the report “Abschlussfahrt 2026” — publication planned for October 2026 — eight requests went out on 11 and 12 August 2026. This is where they stand:
No money changed hands, and no travel expenses, hospitality, sponsoring or discounts are documented. We disclose the loan at the report concerned.
The route planner can carry booking links for which we receive a commission. Two fixed rules apply to them:
No commercial attribute enters the scoring of the bike finder: there is no field for advertising partners, sponsors or commissions, and a position cannot be bought.
That does not make the order neutral, and it is not meant to be. It rests on our own editorial weightings — among them category, price, power, weight, seat height, brand and range. In the event of a tie the lower price decides. The selection comes from our curated stock, not from the whole market; and if too few motorcycles match, the bike finder relaxes individual criteria and states this in the result.
The books are printed and shipped via Amazon Media EU S.à r.l. This is a pure service-provider relationship with no influence on the content; it is named in the imprint of the books.
Part of the content is created with the help of artificial intelligence — images and videos as well as individual texts, for example model descriptions in the catalogue.
Such content is labelled: images and videos visibly carry a note that they were created with AI, and AI-generated texts are identified as such (Art. 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 — EU AI Act).
On the following points our records contain no agreements and no benefits received:
If you would like to know whether a commercial relationship lies behind a particular article, image or product, please ask us. We usually reply within two weeks.
