Honda is writing the next chapter of its X-Ride format in 2026 – and this time it is heading for the Alps.

6 riders. 7 days. Absolutely unique. From 17 to 23 August 2026, the Honda X-Ride sets off from Munich, taking in the twistiest Alpine passes deep into Austria – before returning to the Bavarian capital on the final day with a wealth of impressions.

The format

Since 2024, the X-Ride has been Honda's format for selected riders who want more than an ordinary demo ride. Every year brings a new route, new bikes and a new theme:

  • 2024 – Africa Twin, an “X” across Germany
  • 2025 – XL750 Transalp + NT1100, from west to east
  • 2026 – Honda CB1000GT, cross-border Alpine adventure

Six days of riding on selected passes, overnight stays in hand-picked motorcycle hotels, Cardo communication on board – and a motorcycle made precisely for this.

The bike: Honda CB1000GT

The CB1000GT is Honda's new premium sports tourer – based on the CB1000 Hornet, but made for the grand tour. What it offers:

  • 150 PS four-cylinder engine
  • Electronically controlled Showa-EERA™ suspension
  • Cornering ABS, several riding modes
  • Standard equipment: panniers, cruise control, heated grips, quickshifter
  • 5-inch TFT with Honda RoadSync

On the Alpine passes, this package will show what it was built for.
