KI1) Stay down, get your bearings — what hurts, can I get up? Briefly "test" your cervical spine and legs without yanking. 2) Keep the helmet on for now — after any crash involving a head impact, do NOT take it off yourself; the paramedics will do that. Opening the visor is enough to breathe and speak. 3) If you're physically okay: get up slowly, secure the scene (§ 16 StVO — hazard lights on the bike, high-visibility vest (Warnweste), warning triangle (Warndreieck) at least 50 m before the spot). 4) Switch the bike off (ignition off, kill switch to OFF — otherwise fuel drips out). 5) When in doubt, call 112 — even if it's "not that bad." Internal injuries and concussions often only show up hours later.
